Massimo Dutti began its commercial activity in the US with a new store concept in one of the most exclusive areas of Fifth Avenue in New York, along with the launch of its online store for all states.
The first Massimo Dutti US store in the United States is found in a prime commercial corner of Manhattan, where Fifth Avenue meets 54th Street, “and features an innovative interior design that reinforces the role of fashion,” parent company Inditex explained in a press release. “The store is the largest of Massimo Dutti worldwide, with over 1,270 square meters of retail space over three floors opening onto Fifth Avenue and 54th Street, six shop windows and a store front of more than 38 meters. 250 people will work at the new store.”
Massimo Dutti’s new image would be based on a progressive evolution of the boutique concept which identifies the brand. It is a change based primarily on finishes and shapes seeking warmer and more current environments. Walnut wood, brass, leather and dark marble are the main materials.
Massimo Dutti also launched its online store, with free shipping to the 50 states. The concept’s site will offer the full range of items for women and men as available at their physical stores.
To mark the US debut, Massimo Dutti has created The 689 5th Avenue Collection, an exclusive collection that claims to be a unique tribute to Manhattan: a duo of the essence of Massimo Dutti and the entity of New York.
Massimo Dutti was founded in Spain in 1985 and was focused in offering menswear. In 1992, it launched its first collection for women. Today, the brand is present in 58 countries in Europe, America and Asia with more than 600 stores.
