Hands working

Compared to June 2014, the number of unemployed declined by 329.397 people, i.e. a YOY decline of 7.4%.

According to official data, there are 302,055 less registered unemployed than last December.

The unemployment rate usually goes down in June in all regions and sectors due to the beginning of the summer season. In the last seven years the number of registered unemployed has decreased by 74,000 people on average.  But this year the reduction has been slightly lower.

On the other hand, the number of people affiliated to the Social Security increased by 3,085 in June from a month earlier, an increase of 0.20 per cent. The total number of people affiliated to the system currently stands at 17,256.395.
