Mortgages falling for last 12 months

According to data released yesterday by the National Statistics Institute (Ine), the number of mortgages taken out on housing fell by 10.3% last January compared to the same month in 2023, to 33,128 loans, with the average interest rate soaring to levels not seen in almost a decade. Spain: Increase debt by 5% to increase GDP by 2.5% (with issued debt already at 137% of GDP)
