How To Go Viral by Quitting Your Job

“I work for an awesome company that makes news videos. I have put my entire life into this job, but my boss only cares about quantity, how fast we write and how many views each video gets. I believe it’s more important to focus on the quality of the content. When you learn to improve this, the views will come. Here is a little video I made explaining my feelings,” Marina Shifrin, american journalist and writer posted online last weekend as a resignation message.

Shifrin quit her job at Next Media Animation, a Taiwanese animation company well known for its parodies of the Chinese government and other politically controversial issues. University of Missouri-Columbia grad, she explained at her blog that journalism was dead to her.

May be online marketing isn’t. The video has gone viral and had more than 1 million viewers by Monday.
