Turkey Leads House Price Rises During The Pandemic With +29%, While Spain And India Are The Only Markets To Record Declines

According to the consultancy firm Knight Frank, which in its Global House Price Index has analysed the evolution of prices in 55 countries from 1Q20 to last spring 2021, in the USA, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Luxembourg and Sweden housing has risen by more than +15%, above the average (+9.2%). Turkey leads the ranking with an increase of +29%. Spain is the market with the biggest fall in the global ranking, with a decrease of 0.9%. India is the other lagging country in the list, with a 0.5% decline.

Grifols To Launch A Takeover Bid For Germany’s Biotest At €1.6 Bn

Grifols and Tiancheng Pharma, the main shareholder of Germany’s Biotest, have agreed that Grifols will buy Biotest with the aim of increasing its plasma collection capacity. Tiancheng Pharma owns 89.9% of Biotest’s ordinary shares and 1.1% of the preferred shares. The consideration of €1.6 Bn for the 100% of Biotest will be paid in cash and represents a premium of 23%.

Randstad | Comparing the figures provided by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) from ten years ago, we can see that the hospitality sector generated 912,401 contracts during the summer campaign, i.e. during the months of June, July and August.
