Link Securities | Adif has entrusted OHLA (OHLA) with the main repair work on the section of railway track where two trains collided on 19 January near Adamuz (Córdoba), killing 46 people, according to a report in the newspaper elEconomista on Friday.

The railway operator has resorted to several emergency contracts to restore the infrastructure given the urgency of re-establishing traffic on the high-speed line between Andalusia and Madrid. Among these, according to industry sources, the contract awarded to Guinovart, a subsidiary of OHLA and a member of the joint venture (UTE) that was responsible for the comprehensive renovation of the line and is also currently responsible for the maintenance of the infrastructure until 2028 (Ferrovial, FCC and Azvi complete the joint venture), stands out.

Both Adif and OHLA have declined to comment.
