Link Securities | On Monday, the British High Court approved the expansion of London Luton Airport, managed by Aena (AENA), dismissing the appeal by the Luton and District Aircraft Noise Control Association (Ladacan), which claimed that its approval did not adequately consider the environmental impact, according to a report in the newspaper Expansión on Tuesday.
The expansion project promoted by Aena plans to increase the capacity of the airport, located to the north of London, from the current 19 million passengers to 32 million passengers by the mid-2040s, allowing the runway to accommodate up to 77,000 more flights per year than in 2024.
