CdM | Unicaja (UNI) has launched an interest-bearing online account aimed at new self-employed customers, offering a return of up to 3% APR during the first 12 months. It also includes a 1% refund on the sum of the main direct debits and exemption from maintenance and administration fees.

‘The bank’s objective is to reinforce its commitment to attracting new self-employed customers throughout the country, focusing on a model of local banking that combines personalised service with the promotion of its digital capabilities,’ Unicaja said in a statement.

Specifically, the remuneration of the “Requetecuenta digital autónomos” applies to a maximum average balance of €20,000 and is paid quarterly. To access it, users will have to set up a direct debit for their self-employed contributions with a minimum of €50 per month.

In addition, the account offers a 1% rebate on the sum of the main direct debits (water, electricity, gas, telephone or Internet) with an annual limit of €100.

It also includes exemption from account maintenance and administration fees, as well as transfers made through the online channel or at ATMs. It includes a Visa Business Debit card, with no issuance or maintenance fees, and allows free deposit of domestic cheques in euros.

The account is available exclusively online and the promotion will be valid until 31 January 2026.
