EZ lending activity improvement compromised

The banking sector in the smallest peripheral countries is the reason why the private credit has deteriorated so much. In countries such as Portugal or Ireland, credit to companies shrank to rates close to 10% yoy.

In Spain and Italy, the decline continues but it has tempered regarding the first months of the previous year. For their part, credit growth is stagnant in the major core economies in Europe –namely, France and Germany.
