US Insight expands in Europe through Inmac adquisition

US company Insight Enterprises, a global technology provider of hardware, software and service solutions, has announced that its European operation will acquire Frankfurt-based Inmac, a broad portfolio B2B hardware re-seller based in Germany and Netherlands servicing clients across Western Europe. Inmac’s revenues are approximately $120 million. The transaction is expected to in mid-February.

“We are extremely excited about the acquisition of Inmac, which will provide a great team, broad client base plus hardware technology sales, lifecycle services, marketing and supply chain expertise to our existing software business in mainland Europe,” commented Stuart Fenton, President of Insight EMEA.

Inmac is a long established hardware reseller with offices in Germany and the Netherlands. It has extensive distribution and supply chain capabilities and serves business clients in a number of mainland European countries including France, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and others. Inmac offers a broad range of hardware solutions from the major manufacturers.

“This acquisition supports our strategic plan to expand hardware capabilities into key markets in our existing European footprint. The combined organization will offer our clients a complete set of hardware, software and related services solutions in Germany and Netherlands,” added Mr. Fenton.
