Innovation Edge is the first corporate magazine designed originally for iPad and centered on innovation in the financial sector, BBVA said in a press release. The Spanish bank noted that it is distributed free-of-charge in multiple platforms.
The publication is edited through a collaborative effort between the BBVA team, its international innovation network and experts in each of the fields addressed. It’s mission, BBVA states, is to share the knowledge generated by the bank on emerging trends and innovative phenomena that are linked in various ways to the financial sector and the evolution of its business models.
The current edition of the publication, the third in the series, addresses the gamification phenomenon and its application in financial settings. The content focuses in large part on interactive elements, videos and infographics.
The trend analyzed in this edition of Innovation Edge is the so-called gamification, a concept explained as the process of using game theory and mechanics to attract and bind users.
This edition, in addition to the main trends, presents practical cases of different companies, as well as the recent “BBVA Game” experience.
An innovative online service approach for the bank’s customers in Spain, BBVA Game combines financial education enriched with game dynamics. The objective is to show, in an entertaining way, all of the possibilities offered by the bank’s transactional website with the expectation that the customers have fun and, without a doubt, “get hooked”.
“All of the teams that have participated in the development of BBVA Game agree on one thing: we had a great time. And that is a good sign,” said Bernardo Crespo, Head of Digital Marketing Lab, BBVA.
