FluidraFluidra buys all of Germany's Meranus Group

Link Securities | On December 23, 2022 Fluidra Commercial, S.A.U., an indirectly fully controlled subsidiary of Fluidra, reached an agreement to fully acquire the German companies Meranus Haan, Meranus Lauchhammer and Aquacontrol. These firms together form the Meranus Group, a recognized swimming pool equipment distributor in Germany. It is also a manufacturer of swimming pool dosing and control technology.

Meranus’ expected revenues for the year ending 31 December 2022 are over 25 million euros. This transaction will allow Fluidra to enhance its leading position in the German market and offer a more comprehensive product portfolio to a wider customer base.

Fluidra expects the deal to be closed in Q1 2023, once all the usual series of conditions have been met, including approval from the competition authorities. The purchase price agreed with the Meranus Group, which will be paid at the close of the transaction, is 30 million euros on a cash and debt free basis.
