Aena airports receive total of 356 million passengers to date this year, increase of 4.2%

Link Securities | Aena (AENA) airports (comprising 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) have received a total of 356,907,392 passengers so far this year, representing an increase of 4.2% compared to 2024.

According to data from the Spanish airport system operator, there were 3,039,108 aircraft movements (up 2.5%) and 1,396,665 tonnes of cargo were transported, 7.7% more than in the same period in 2024. In November alone, the group closed the penultimate month of 2025 with 27,681,817 passengers, 4.7% more than in the same month of 2024; it managed 244,057 aircraft movements, 1.6% more than in 2024; and transported 146,297 tonnes of cargo, 12.2% more than last year.

It should also be noted that the airports in the Aena network in Spain closed November with 22,543,602 passengers, 4.6% more than in the same month in 2024; they handled 198,078 aircraft movements, 2.5% more than in November 2024; and they transported 133,027 tonnes of cargo, an increase of 10.5% over the same month last year.In the year to date (January to November 2025 or 11M2025), Aena airports in Spain have recorded 299,141,995 passengers, 4% more than during the same period in 2024; 2,504,651 aircraft movements were handled, 4.3% more, and 1,249,241 tonnes of cargo were transported, 6.8% more than in the first eleven months of last year.

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport recorded the highest number of passengers in November with 5,494,827, representing a 3.9% increase compared to November 2024. It is followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with 4,255,339 (up 5.1% compared to 2024); Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport, with 1,752,414 (up 8.7%); Gran Canaria, with 1,417,464 ( down 0.7%); Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, with 1,411,496 (up 10.3%); Tenerife South, with 1,283,688 (down 0.6%) and Palma de Mallorca, with 1,215,491 (up 1.3%).
