Link Securities | The company has set itself the goal of strengthening its position as a strategic company at the European level, for which it will analyse any consolidation options for its business that arise in Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom, as revealed yesterday by the operator’s new CEO, Emilio Gayo, reports Bolsamania.com.

‘In Spain, Germany or the UK, Telefónica, which wants to play a strategic role at the European level, will be open to studying any option that is presented to us,’ he said during a conference organised by Expansión. In this sense, it sees the need to generate driving forces, not only at a national level, but also at a European level; strong companies, capable of investing and of having industrial plans that go far beyond their natural investment and that allow for the construction of technology and business development.
