The part of the global volume of M&A that corresponds to EMEA, by contrast, is at its lowest in the last 10 years (29%vs global volumes is an average of 35%) In EMEA, the most active regions were France and the United Kingdom with 26%and 25% of the volumes, respectively.

The main “event-driven” themes in which the Hedge Funds focus remain the same are fiscal investment in the pharmaceutical sector and the consolidation of the European telecoms.
