Madrid region awards Ferrovial a €108-million hospital services contract

Hospital Doce de Octubre

Ferrovial, through subsidiary Ferrovial Services, has been awarded two three-year contracts by the Madrid Regional Health Service to manage the cleaning services of a number of hospitals and specialised care centres. The contracts are worth 108.2 million euro combined.

The contracts may be extended by another three years, which would increase the backlog to more than 216 million euro over a six-year period.

“This award consolidates Ferrovial Services as a key player in hospital management and services within the Madrid region and in Spain as a whole,” said Santiago Olivares, CEO of Ferrovial Services.

Ferrovial Services will take charge of integral cleaning the following hospitals: La Paz, 12 de Octubre, Hospital Central de la Cruz Roja, Severo Ochoa (Leganés), Cantoblanco, Móstoles, Fuenfría and José Germain.
