Polish authorities cancel award of €235 million contract to Ferrovial subsidiary Budimex

Link Securities | Budimex, the listed Polish subsidiary controlled by Ferrovial (FER), has informed the market that local authorities have cancelled the award of a contract awarded to the group in December worth over 1 billion zlotys (around €235 million), Expansión newspaper reports in its edition today.

The contracting body, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, will review and re-evaluate the bids submitted in the tender for the design and construction of the CE 20 railway line between Czachówek Wschodni and Pilawa. The consortium formed by the firms Trakcja, Intop and WKS Grybow submitted the lowest bid.
