Abertis reduces its profit by 57.6% after Cellnex’s listing

Abertis improved all its key indicators in 2016 above the company’s expectations: EBITDA rose to €3,240Mn (+20%) and revenue to €4,936Mn (+13%), thanks to the traffic growth and the incorporation of new assets into the consolidation scope. Net profit totalled €796Mn, up 13% in like-for-like terms.

Abertis Posts H1 Net Profit Of €510M Thanks To Recurrent Business

Abertis’ key figures improved in the first half of 2016, with growth in net profit (+9% like-for-like) to €510Mn , EBITDA (+7% like-for-like) to €1,502Mn and revenue (+5%) to a total of €2,243Mn, in a period featuring a resilient recurring business, traffic increases and the addition of new assets to the consolidation scope following the acquisition of 50% of Autopista Central in Chile.

Abertis mirrors Spanish economy’s take-off

Abertis, the world’s largest toll road operator running more than 7,300 km, announced the country’s 2014 road traffic figures increased for the first time since 2008. The firm also forecasts a global spending of more than €1.3 bn in the current year. Yet Abertis partly reflects the Spain of  bankrupcies and bail-outs. The company is major stakeholder of some recently collapsed motorways expected to be saved by the authorities.

Abertis closes the sale of 7% of Eutelsat to China Investment Corporation

MADRID | Abertis said on Monday it had agreed to sell 7% of Eutelsat to China Investment Corporation (CIC) for €385.2 million. The transaction, which generated net capital gains of €237 million, follows Abertis’ January sale of 16% of Eutelsat in a private placement among qualified investors.
